Discover the joy of combining watercolour and coloured pencil in this relaxed, skill-building course designed for beginners and intermediate artists alike.
Over seven weeks you’ll learn materials and techniques, develop skills by focusing on a range of subjects, and create finished mixed-media pieces. Each session includes demonstrations, step-by-step exercises, and guided practice with constructive feedback to help you build confidence and a personal style ☺️
Week 1 - Introduction to mixing materials + creating different textures
Week 2 - Capturing detail
Week 3 - Animals
Week 4 - Fun & Funky Illustration styles
Week 5 - Portraits
Week 6 - Final project begins
Week 7 - Finishing final project
You are welcome to bring in digital drawing tablets and any other materials you want to create with ☺️ Please make sure that you’ve read and understand the workshops Terms & Conditionsand behavioural Code of Conductbefore enrolling.
Required materials:
Watercolour Set - if you have one already bring that ☺️ if not we’ve found in previous watercolour courses that this Daler Rowney palette has GREAT colour selections. But if not a Mont Marte set like this is a cheap option and the Koi palette is a better quality option but a little pricier
Soft Brushes
A4 or A3 Canson Watercolour Sketchbook
Paper towel
Graphite pencils
Hard & kneadable erasers
Optional: Water Brush Pen
