Kick off your week drawing!
This 7 week course will provide you with hands on experience working with a variety of coloured pencil techniques in a fun and relaxed studio environment.
The course will begin with Alex introducing you to basic drawing methods through both fun and academic exercises. Each week will build your skills in colour theory, material knowledge and experimentation with your approach to drawing:
🟡 Week 1 - Intro to coloured pencils, tips + hacks
🟠 Week 2 - Colour Theory
🔴 Week 3 - Colour + Shading
🟣 Week 4 - Coloured pencils on toned paper
🔵 Week 5 - Watercolour + coloured pencils
🟢 Week 6 - Starting a final project
🟤 Week 7 - Final project completion ✨
What you’ll need: A3 or A4 sketchbook,* 2B + HB graphite pencils, a set of coloured pencils (I recommendthis set) and hard + kneadable erasers 🎨
*I recommend Derwent, Canson or Talens sketchbooks. Avoid cheaper pencils and paper, as unfortunately they don’t hold up to the techniques we’ll be using 🥲
