Congratulations on all your drawing work!
Everyone did a phenomenal job, and the effort you put into learning all the different elements of the face + hands has really paid off. Below are a few extra resources + some links to the materials we used in the final session and that I recommend (don’t worry, it’s not sponsored 😅)
Provided Portrait Images:
These images were chosen as they show clear, directional light-sources which makes it easier to see and render the tonal shifts of the planes.
When looking for references for observational drawing go for ones that have this kind of clear lighting. It makes things more understandable as you’re drawing them and it’s super effective. I’ve also included an extra pic with some harsh cast shadows if you want to play around with drawing more shadow shapes.
